Walking on the Marshes

Walks at Steart marshes to build up an appetites for Sunday roast in the winter or a BBQ in the summer, a stew in the autumn or possibly a juicy steak in the spring. All can be picked up from the middle of the marshes in the village of Steart contact……….

Spring walk – Through the village to spot the cattle in their winter grazing fields before being reaced to the wetlands. Start at Natural England car park in Steart down the track to the tower hide back along the sea front and back along the back of the village to the car park.

Summer walk – Steart Gate car park circular to the point and back all paths no roads stop in the tower hide for a picnic.

Autumn walk – Start at the Steart beach carpark along the shingle back toward the main carpark for a coffee at live free kitchen to perk you up for the walk back.  

Winter walk  – To the pub! From the main carpark it’s a 30 minuet walk to the pub, could be longer on the way back but the view of the sun sets over the Quantocks are worth it
